2) Diagnostics
Diagnostics may be offered at no cost at our discretion and may require device inspection, testing, or disassembly. A diagnosis is not a guarantee of a successful repair and does not guarantee parts availability. If you choose not to proceed with a repair, you may be required to pick up your device within a reasonable timeframe.
3) Repair Authorization
By leaving your device with us or approving service, you authorize Matrix Tech Repairs to perform diagnostics and repairs, including reasonable steps required to complete the service such as opening the device, replacing parts, installing updates, or restoring functionality. You authorize us to test the device before and after service to verify performance.
4) Data, Backups, and Privacy
You are responsible for backing up your data before service. Repairs and troubleshooting may result in data loss, and Matrix Tech Repairs is not responsible for loss of data, software, apps, photos, or other information stored on the device. For privacy and security, we recommend removing passwords where possible and signing out of accounts prior to service, unless access is required to test a feature after repair.
5) Customer Property and Device Condition
You represent that you own the device or have authority to request service. You acknowledge that devices may have pre-existing damage or defects not visible during intake, including internal liquid damage, board-level issues, prior third-party repairs, or structural weakness. Opening a device can reveal or worsen existing conditions, and some devices may not be recoverable due to the nature of damage.
6) Parts, Compatibility, and Quality
Replacement parts may be original, OEM, refurbished, or high-quality aftermarket depending on availability and your selected price option. Cosmetic differences may occur, and certain third-party parts may affect features such as brightness, color tone, True Tone, Face ID/Touch ID behavior, battery health reporting, water resistance, or system warnings depending on device model and manufacturer restrictions. Any water resistance is not guaranteed after a device has been opened or repaired.
7) Warranty and Limitations
Warranty coverage, if offered, applies only to the specific part replaced and the labor performed for that repair and is valid for the stated period provided at the time of service. Warranty does not cover new damage, physical damage, liquid exposure, misuse, improper handling, unauthorized modifications, third-party repairs performed after our service, software issues unrelated to the repaired component, or normal wear and tear. If a warranty issue is confirmed, our responsibility is limited to repair, replacement of the covered part, or service credit at our discretion.
8) Turnaround Times
Estimated turnaround times are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to part availability, device condition, testing requirements, or high service volume. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party shipping or manufacturers.
9) Payments, Deposits, and Taxes
Payment is due at the time services are completed unless otherwise agreed in writing. Some repairs may require a deposit before ordering parts or beginning service, and deposits may be non-refundable if parts have been ordered or work has started. Prices may exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason permitted by law.
10) Unclaimed Devices
Devices not picked up within a reasonable period after service completion may be considered abandoned. If a device is considered abandoned, we may charge storage fees where allowed and may dispose of or recycle the device in accordance with applicable law. We will attempt to contact you using the information you provided before taking action.
11) Unlocking and Account Services (Including Samsung FRP Unlock)
Account-related assistance, including Samsung FRP Unlock, is provided only with proof of ownership and in compliance with applicable laws. We do not assist with bypassing security or access controls for stolen devices or unauthorized access. If ownership cannot be verified, we may refuse the service.
12) Communications Consent
By submitting your contact information, you consent to be contacted by Matrix Tech Repairs via phone, email, or text regarding your request, appointment, service status, and customer support. If you opt in to marketing messages, you may receive promotional communications and can opt out at any time by replying STOP to SMS or using an unsubscribe link in email where applicable. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
